2011 Seed Prices

We are pleased to announce that Larry Serbus and Curt Meyer have purchased the majority stake in Bird Island Bean Co. LLC from Duane Hultgren, who has decided to exit the business after 11 years. Larry, Curt, and Duane founded the dry bean processing company in April, 2000.

As we wish Duane well, we also look forward to continuing the same great customer service and common sense solutions you have come to expect from Bird Island Bean Company over the last 10 years. We feel that Bird Island Bean is an integral part of the Central Minnesota agribusiness community, and we are glad Curt and Larry have decided to continue the business.

With that in mind, we would like to offer you a first in our company history—a grower contract, with a 2-year option, at $0.33/lb. on 1,000 lbs/acre.

Our seed prices for 2011 are as follows, available in 50-lb. paper bags or 2,000-lb. totes:
